GESLCC won the T-20 match against CERN CC, played at Cern grounds on 2 June. The match started at 3 pm and the Cern captain won the toss and decided to batted first. Cern CC lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored 150 runs while Lalantha, the opening bowler in his third ball took a very important wicket – the opener and a consistent player Andrew’s wicket for a duck. He was brilliantly caught behind the wicket by Zarook. Roshan & Idrees both took 3 wickets each while Mounir took two wickets.
The umpires has reduce (3) three balls from the allotted 20 overs due to time waste during GESLCC fielding.
The start of 19th over, the scoreboard was reading 143 runs. The umpire miscounted number of balls in one of the overs and given only 5 balls to face. However, GESLCC scorer informed the umpires in time to salvage the momentary problem. This request was accepted after having a discussion between the umpires and the both captains. The decision was to resume bowling to correct the problem. One run was scored during this ball.
