The Geneva Sri Lanka Cricket Club (GESLCC) has been in existence since late 70s and has won the Swiss Championship more than five occasions since its inception. GESLCC is also the Swiss League Champions in 1998, 1999, 2010,2011,2013, and 2014. Recently, the GESLCC has seriously taken up the responsibility of promoting cricket in Switzerland with a view to introduce the game to those who are interested in sports and have an appetite to learn new types of sports.
The GESLCC will be touring Sri Lanka for the fourth time to play tournaments in Jaffna, Dambulla, Hambantota, Galle, and Colombo from 19 March through 2 April. For this tour, the club has invited a few players from various other clubs to participate in friendly games so that more Swiss Cricketers would get the opportunity to experience playing in Sri Lanka.
